ABOUT NADIA BARTOLOTTA

In 2014, I obtained my Masters of Education in Communication Disorders from North Carolina Central University. Before obtaining my Masters, I received my Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law. I found myself becoming disheartened with the legal system and decided to switch careers from law to speech therapy. With speech therapy, I had more control on the outcomes of my clients and could make more of a direct impact within the community. I have worked in a variety of settings including: home health, private clinics, daycare, school, and rehabilitation settings. I have experience with articulation, phonological disorders, language delays and disorders, fluency, and apraxia. I have worked with children with the diagnoses of autism, intellectual disability, Fragile X syndrome, and traumatic brain injury. I\'ve been a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2014 and have my Certificate of Clinical Competence. My specialty is working with the Spanish-speaking and bilingual community. Raised within a trilingual household (Spanish, Arabic, and English), I always had a fascination with language. I enjoy working with the pediatric population and currently specialize in early intervention, targeting children ages 2-5 years. These early years are crucial to a child’s development and future academic success. I provide educational talks for teachers and parents to inform them of speech and language development during early childhood. This informations helps carry over strategies from therapy into the home and classroom.
