About Nadia A. Lampton

I am a labor attorney approaching age-old questions about the law with a fresh perspective and an engaging combination of grit and grace. One of my best assets is the ability to read a room and discern in a split second whether the situation calls for fire or finesse. This unteachable judgment, paired with an acute business perspective and financial acumen, stands out - whether I\'m at the bargaining table, before an arbitrator, or in a boardroom - and equips me to be a business-savvy, learning-agile, go-to adviser to a Fortune 500 corporation on a range of labor and employment issues and strategies. I approach every challenge with the understanding that cookie-cutter solutions just don\'t cut it any longer. With this in mind, I bring the right people to the table and am not afraid to make tough decisions or embrace a beatnik or radical solution to a troublesome dilemma. If it works and furthers the business, then I\'m in. My leadership extends beyond the courtroom and corporate meetings. I currently serve as an elected member of Section Council for the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association. I am the Immediate Past-President of the Dayton Chapter FBA and former Chairman of the Board of Allen County Children Services. I am also the Past-Chair of the DBA’s Labor and Employment Law Committee and the Bar Briefs Editorial Board. I am a current member of the Allen County, Dayton, Ohio State, and Federal Bar Associations. While in law school, I served as an extern for the Hon. Michael J. Newman at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and was a law clerk for two common pleas court judges in Montgomery County. I received my J.D, cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law where I was a Dean’s Fellow, teaching assistant, Executive Publications Editor of the Law Review, and Associate Justice of Extramural Competitions for the law school’s Moot Court program. I was also selected to compete on the law school’s national moot court team. I hold a B.A. in political science and rhetoric from Hillsdale College, where I competed on the school’s nationally-ranked speech and debate team.

   Airgas, an Air Liquide Company, is a supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as welding equipment and supplies. The Airgas Labor Practice Group is an interdisciplinary, field-based team that provides essential support to business leaders enterprise-wide. As Senior Director and Counsel, I am responsible for collective bargaining, contract administration, arbitrations, unfair labor practice investigations and defense, representative matters, providing accurate and timely legal advice and support, and implementing and administering various strategic workplace initiatives.
