ABOUT SENTHIL NACHIMUTHU
I spent 15 years building healthcare machine learning, interoperability, data normalization, and analytics products at start-ups (Truveta, Nightingale Open Science) and large corp (3M Healthcare). Now, I\'m back at the Univ of Utah to tackle harder healthcare problems. I build and apply machine learning methods to help clinicians, patients, and researchers, while reducing risks through safe and effective use of artificial intelligence.More info on the work of Senthil K. The next chapter of my research is focused on multimodal AI to create, validate, and implement parsimonious methods to improve healthcare. My initial focus is on natural language processing of clinical notes using AI/ML methods. Interpretability, explainability, and patient safety are foundational to this work to make it trustworthy for clinicians and patients. I continue to advise Nightingale and other organizations as a Senior Advisor/Consultant to solve hard problems in healthcare and medicine. I advise/consult on both strategy and operations involving healthcare interoperability, analytics, and healthcare artificial intelligence. I\'ve worked with Epic, Cerner, VA VistA, and Athenahealth EHR data. I\'ve worked in both operational hands-on and strategic leadership roles.
