Data Center Transition Project-Successfully Led a Major Data Center Transition ProjectAs part of a large, cross-functional team—including ISPs, Systems Engineers / OS Engineers, Network Engineers, Security Engineers, DBAs, Storage Engineers, Backup & Recovery Engineers, Virtualization Engineers, Application Engineers / Middleware Specialists, Exadata Engineers / Appliance Specialists, Monitoring Engineers and more—we successfully completed a complex Data Center Transition project with zero unplanned downtime.This wasn\'t just a lift-and-shift. We took the opportunity to modernize our infrastructure, enhance our backup strategy, and improve resilience. We deployed Cohesity for centralized backups and began backing up the entire system with it, significantly improving data protection.One of the biggest wins was extending our existing network to the new data center and using a replication strategy to reduce risk. This allowed us to fall back on the original data center during any troubleshooting, ensuring service continuity at all times.Throughout the project, we worked closely with business and IT owners to validate integration points and ensure nothing broke as we transitioned systems and upgraded platforms. From physical and virtual server migrations to MPLS transitions, every step was carefully planned and executed.Proud to have been part of a team that delivered such a critical transformation smoothly, securely, and collaboratively.
