About Nachiket Deshpande

I am an empathetic, patient, soft spoken, polite person and have completed my BSc Clinical Psychology from Amity University Mumbai and MSc Clinical and Health Psychology from Bangor University, UK. I have studied Cognitive, Educational, Experimental, Abnormal, Social, Physiological, Clinical Psychology, Life span Development, and applications in Environmental, Organizational, Industrial Psychology. I also learnt Psychometric Testing through practical at under-graduation level. MSc course included in-depth study of Clinical Neuro Psychology and Theoretical Models in Clinical Psychology through contextual applications in Nudges and Behaviour change.I gained some practical experience as an intern in an NGO at MBA foundation. During my internship, I worked with patients having severe mental disorders with objective to make them efficient to live in outside world. I also got an opportunity to work as an intern in Clinical setting at Masina Hospital Mumbai, where I worked with severe patients in a clinical counseling setting as well as participated and conducted various therapy sessions as demonstrator. Opportunity to deal with various addiction patients in rehabilitation center was a remarkable experience.Presently, I am also pursuing Diploma Certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy from BSY group UK, that I intend to complete soon. The course provides deep insights about Animal Assisted activities and Therapy, Selecting and Training animals for therapy work, designing and implementing AAT Programs and using animals as part of solution-focused therapy. Importantly, the course helps in Client screening and structuring AAT sessions for working with children, elderly people and special populations.
