ABOUT NACER CHAHAT
Over ten years of experience in design, analysis, and development of antenna for projects ranging from UHF to THz frequencies for communications, RADAR, and imaging systems. His expertise includes satellite communications antennas (for spacecraft, CubeSat, Lander, and Rover), wearable and flexible antennas for communications and biotelemetry, and antennas for remote sensing and radio astronomy instruments. He also specialized in very accurate EMI/EMC analysis for large Spacecraft and led the EMI/EMC qualification of the SWOT Payload successfully. He is the Payload System Engineer for the NASA\'s Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission. He authored and co-authored over 100 technical journal articles and conference papers, has written 3 book chapters, and also holds 7 patents. Since he joined NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he worked on several flight projects: M2020, SWOT, NiSAR, Europa Clipper, Europa Lander, MarCO, Nea Scout, RainCube, and Mars Helicopter. He is also the Principal Investigator on multiple research projects. He is also a Product Delivery Manager on SWOT.
