About Nabil Ahmed

Owner of a consulting firm which is focused on providing global public health services throughout the world. Integral Global provides consulting services to United States government agencies, foreign ministries of health, and private organizations who have an interest in developing health capacity in hard to reach parts of the world. Previously served as a Senior Public Health Advisor at the Office of the Director at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). I oversaw the Global Health Security Agenda for NCIRD where I was responsible for approximately $16-million in funding for various global programs. Prior to that I was a member of the Polio Eradication Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I served as the key focal point for the Global Immunization Division to: ensure CDC initiatives are represented as part of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in Pakistan, improve the ability of the Government of Pakistan to respond to cases of polio, and collaborate with international partners to jointly achieve polio eradication in Pakistan. I also served as Deputy Branch Chief of the Global Disease Detection Branch, which provides support for GDD centers in ten countries. I managed a team that is charged with providing GDD centers with administrative, logistical, and technical assistance. I also collaborated closely with several Divisions at CDC, which contribute scientific and programmatic input to the GDD centers. Prior to my career at CDC, I worked in Bangladesh on a research study with the International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B).
