ABOUT NABEEL SHIRAZEE
We’re not just electrifying propulsion, we’re reimagining how machines think, move, and manage energy. This is the era of intelligent, sustainable motion.For over two decades, I’ve been focusing on one mission: crafting next-generation propulsion systems that merge energy efficiency, advanced materials, and AI-driven intelligence. Long before “Net Zero” was a boardroom buzzword, I was in the lab, designing electric machines for aerospace using digital twin simulation tools. That foundation ignited a lifelong drive to revolutionise how we power the world.In Dec 1998, I founded Electronica Products Limited, a magnetics & electronics innovation design consultancy. We took on audacious challenges: from designing precision aerospace actuator motors for Moog Controls to developing and patenting UAV propulsion and hybrid starter-generator systems.One of our key breakthroughs? A patented motor design that reconfigures its windings in real-time to extend operational efficiencies and extend range, a concept the automotive world is only just catching up to. This technology will revolutionise the unmanned platforms, especially the high-altitude UAVs. We also created the PURE™ system, a high-efficiency Power Unit for Range Extension developed with Horiba Mira, pushing the boundaries of hybrid mobility.We built our tech stack around digital twins, investing over £500k in modelling and simulation tools to outpace traditional R&D cycles. The result: multiple UK Government innovation awards (SMART Cymru, Innovate UK, Carbon Trust), and projects that pushed us to the edge and beyond working 12-14 hour days, 7 days a week, fuelled by ambition.In 2018, Electronica merged with ePropelled, where I now serve as Global CTO. Today, our focus has sharpened: building intelligent electric propulsion and hybrid power systems for UAVs, UGVs, USVs, hybrid aircraft, and other platforms where performance, efficiency, and digital intelligence intersect.What excites me now? The convergence of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud connectivity, and real-time digital twins. These technologies aren’t just add-ons, they’re redefining what propulsion systems can be: Predictive, Adaptive, and Self-optimising.This is more than electrification. This is system-wide energy intelligence. And it’s happening across every mode of transport, Land, Air, Sea, and Space (LASS)We\'re pressing reset on the history of propulsion, and I’m here for it. To build. To disrupt. To deliver what the world truly needs: clean, intelligent, high-efficiency propulsion for a Near Net Zero future.
