About Mythreyee Ganapathy

In my current role, I help product teams at Google to intelligently engage with billions of customers at scale. In the past, I have built teams that developed new domain expertise rapidly with the goal of delivering business impact. These teams built product capabilities to unify data across various systems, ML based predictive intelligence, extensible ways to create the flywheel for partners to build their own product offerings and more. I have also led the strategy and launch of Cortana, Bing, human conversation chat bots, and various other product incubations. In the Search engine space, I worked on leading the creation of the Bing Knowledge Graph in 25 global markets, and engaged in various aspects of online advertising. During my time at Microsoft, I contributed to building three new products; as well as helped to set up the Microsoft Research India Lab. I have been fortunate to work in various computing careers around coding, product management, program management and research; and have since developed expertise in data analytics, machine learning and user experience design. I am strongly motivated to help the community of women in technology and hence have been actively involved with ACM India, the Anita Borg Institute as well as the Grace Hopper Conference in India. With GHC India, I was engaged from inception as a volunteer, speaker, track chair and more recently as an Advisory Board member. While I am focused on building teams that can deliver high quality engineering products, I am also empathetic to employing different leadership styles in order to build diverse as well as inclusive teams.
