As a Production Control Supervisor, I am responsible for managing the planning, preparation, issuance, control, and coordination of production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials. This includes overseeing work in progress, monitoring material availability, and resolving complex issues to ensure projects are completed on time. I ensure that material supply, scheduling, shop load, and inventory requirements are consistently met, and I recommend modifications to operating policies to improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement.Leading a team of five planners, I focus on guiding them toward \"Best in Class\" performance by implementing \"Best Practices.\" One of our key challenges is adapting to schedule changes, such as pull-ins and push-outs, each presenting its own significant obstacles. To address these, we now hold regular meetings where each planner is tasked with providing key metrics, highlighting their accomplishments, challenges, and issues from the previous month. This approach has enhanced accountability and transparency, helping the team tackle issues proactively.
