ABOUT MYRICE PALOR
A Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 10 years of diversified experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. I am determined, dedicated and purpose-driven. My passion lies in working with teams to develop and upskill individuals simultaneous to delivering complex capital engineering projects through the application of project controls, engineering and analytical problem solving techniques. I currently work at GlaxoSmithKline as a Capital Programme Manager for the R&D Stream. I lead a group of (senior) project managers and engineers to deliver a portfolio of projects encompassing multiple engineering disciplines including process, mechanical, electrical, automation and controls, network and cyber security, and EHS. I am accountable for the stream\'s delivery against the capital plan and in accordance with the defined project management framework having oversight of the following aspects of each project: contract and procurement management (e.g. EPCM, NEC4), stage gate assessment and approval, schedule and budget management, change and risk management, escalations, stakeholder and communications management. I completed my BA and MEng in Chemical Engineering at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge in June 2015. I obtained my Cambridge MA in 2018 followed by my MBA with the Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2021.I obtained my Chartered Chemical Engineer Status with the IChemE in early 2022. I speak English and Tagalog fluently, and Spanish conversationally.
