I have a passion for creating positive and engaging work environments, and I have developed strong communication, retail, and soft skills through my previous and current experiences. I enjoy problem-solving and strive to make strong connections with everyone I meet. Currently, I am working as People & Culture Specialist - Employee Experience and HR Systems at Heritage Bank of Commerce. In my role I handle day-to-day HR operations, such as onboarding, recruitment, policy implementation, and employee engagement activities. I am the first point of contact for all team members, and I aim to provide a strong support system for team members. I enjoy collaborating with diverse and talented people, and I am eager to learn from new challenges and opportunities.I am a graduate of San Jose State University (December 2023), where I majored in Human Resources Management. During my time at San Jose State University, I was part of SHRM at SJSU; where I held two officer positions concurrently: VP of Membership and CO VP of Events. In these two roles, I was responsible for recruiting students, informing members of current SHRM activities, and planning events. I worked with my fellow officers to come up with creative and relevant events that interested and benefited our members and other SJSU students.
