About Myer Kim

Myer Kim is an Architectural Designer, Scenic Designer, and Technical Director based in Alexandria, Virginia credited with over 60+ theatrical credits. With scenic design and technical direction credits in shows such as “The SpongeBob Musical”, “Friend Art”, “The House on Linardi Street”, and many more. Kim graduated from James Madison University on May 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architectural Design and Bachelor of Science in Studio Art. Kim’s architectural and theatrical designs have been exhibited and praised by critics and jurors for his unique creation process and design style, which emphasizes on developing sculptural spaces and moments of pause and reflection. Currently, Myer operates and runs his own design studio called “KDA STUDIO” with the sole purpose of radicalizing and breaking preconceived notions of art and design. Myer is currently taking a nice long nap (he doesn’t sleep much).We need to think horizontally.We have to have integrity. We have to challenge.We have to take risks.We have to create.Throughout my life, I\'ve always had a deep appreciation for art, architecture, and design. My earliest memory was seeing a building and thinking how does it work? What are the spaces inside the building? Why are there specific design elements present here that are not present elsewhere? When deciding my future, I decided to study architecture for something. New. Bold. Daring. Fun.Create for the sake of creating. Let the creation have purpose. Let the creation guide you.
