WORK HISTORY
Development Coach @Coachgraham
England, GB
I typically work with professional scientists who are facing the insecurities and challenges of leadership. I support them to engage the full force of emotion, as well as intellect, and help develop an action plan that excites and inspires. Together, we solve work problems, but also improve life as a whole - founded always on evidence-based approaches. My coaching approach is based in a person-centred model \"a really good listening-to\" as this is the core of personal growth. As one client put it,\"I don\'t know what I feel, until I hear myself say it.\" I blend this with specific techniques that fit each client and each question, using tools and models where appropriate. I balance a deep-rooted empathic support with robust challenge. It won\'t always be a comfortable process, but I will make certain that you are ready for the challenge before I bring it. Through all these means, I help professional people to make tough decisions, navigate change, and to engage with the wisdom beyond intellect.

ABOUT GRAHAM CSCI D. PHIL WATT
You\'ve earned respect through rigour, precision, and steady authority.You\'ve built a career on it, and it\'s worked. But precision can quietly become armour. In scientific and engineering cultures, we\'re trained to value objectivity, certainty and control. That discipline creates extraordinary work. Yet many of us carry the same emotional restraint into the rest of our lives - our working and personal relationships. Any deviation from the straight and narrow \"normal\" can begin to feel risky. If you\'re a gay man in that world, you may recognise subtle adjustments: a pause before mentioning your husband; a careful choice of words to avoid giving too much away; gently editing yourself in the name of professionalism. At first, it is sensible. Over time, it grows into a burden. Energy that could fuel leadership gets spent managing perception instead.That\'s often when people find me. They come with something practical in mind: clearer communication, greater presence, stronger influence. We work on those directly, and we see results, but the deeper work sits beneath - becoming fully at ease in your own skin, so your leadership no longer depends on how well you hide.I spent twenty years in male-dominated, data-driven environments. I understand the codes. I respect them. And I know it\'s possible to be both fully human and fully professional. If you\'re ready to lead without the armour, send me a message. We\'ll start there.
