Within IRM I am the Sr. Security Manager responsible for all security initiatives involving all newly developed and current systems. For all of these above projects I am responsible for planning and implementing security measures to protect all computer systems, networks and data for the various IRM systems. This includes but is not limited to:• Monitoring all systems via the iPost monitoring tool to ensure the IRM systems are adequately patched and secured.• Including all On-Prem servers and Microsoft Azure Cloud servers• Work directly with the Operations Team and Lab Team to resolve vulnerabilities identified during monitoring.• Develop and facilitate Contingency Plan Exercises.• Facilitate penetration testing.• Managing the authorization or re-authorization process.• Working with Information Assurance Assessors for assessment efforts.• Verifying that the appropriate security controls are in place for each system and implemented correctly based upon the NIST 800-53 and FISMA requirements.• Ensuring that all IRM systems remain compliant with all Department of State (DOS) rules and regulations • Completing Notification of Change packages• Developing all security documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO) Packages• Working with developers and architects advising on designs that will be the most secure and compliant with all Department requirements.• Cloud Security Advising• Work directly with the Cloud Computing Advisory Board• Developing and presenting Information Technology Change Control Board (ITCCB) Packages for various software to be used on the DOS network • POA & M management and remediation
