ABOUT MYA SCHRECENGOST
I\'m a third-year honors student at The University of Akron majoring in Sport Analytics with a minor in Applied Statistics. I’m passionate about the behind-the-scenes work that brings sports to life, from data-driven operations to seamless event logistics.This summer, I’m gaining hands-on experience in facility operations, financial reporting, and cross-department project tracking with the Cleveland Cavaliers, while also coordinating grassroots sports leagues and marketing campaigns with Summit Sports & Social. These roles have helped shape my vision for a career in sports event planning, logistics, and analytics.Outside the classroom, I’m deeply involved in campus leadership. I previously served as an Event Coordinator for CHAARG, a national women’s fitness organization, and now lead our chapter as Ambassador, overseeing a full executive team and planning weekly events that empower women through fitness and community. I also serve as a Student Ambassador, a College of Business & Honors College Dean’s Team Member, and am an active member of the Sport Analytics and Business Association (SABA).Whether I’m planning leagues, analyzing budgets, or leading a team, I thrive in fast-paced, people-centered environments that combine strategy, logistics, and community impact. I’m always seeking opportunities to grow, connect, and contribute to the future of sports through both analytics and operations.
