As a Finance Associate at one of the largest Democratic fundraising firms on Capitol Hill, I support high-level political fundraising operations for Senior Democratic Leader Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) and other nonprofit organizations and enterprise events.My work spans across donor engagement, event execution, and financial management to ensure successful fundraising programs at the leadership level.Key responsibilities include- Managing 3 major accounts including re-elect campaign, political action committee, and Nonprofit Foundation- Coordinating and executing fundraising events with organizational partners, sponsors, and vendors- Managing donor pledge tracking, sponsorship outreach, and contribution processing- Supporting financial organization, reporting, and compliance needs- Providing executive-level administrative support, including scheduling and logistics for one of two Partners of the firm- Conducting donor research and maintaining databases to strengthen fundraising strategyThrough this role, I’ve gained firsthand experience in political fundraising strategy, high-profile event management, and Capitol Hill operations, while building strong relationships with donors, partners, and campaigns nationwide.
