ABOUT MYA AMY
I am a dedicated Law student at Solent University, combining strong academic performance with hands on legal experience through my placement as a supervised advisor at the Solent Law Clinic. My degree has allowed me to build a solid foundation across key areas including Tort, Contract, Property, Equity & Trusts, Wills & Probate, Criminal Law and Dispute Resolution, while the Law Clinic has strengthened my skills in client interviewing, drafting clear advice, legal research, and managing real housing disputes with accuracy and empathy. Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable experience in fast paced roles such as hospitality, front of house work, and supervising a team at 18, as well as co-founding a printing business. These roles have shaped my resilience, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure, qualities that transfer directly into legal practice. I am committed to growing as a future solicitor, building strong client relationships, and developing the practical skills needed to support people effectively. I continue to engage in workshops, legal events, internships, and networking opportunities to strengthen my commercial awareness and confidence as I progress through my legal journey.
