About Megan Wong
Hi there! I\'m a software engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails, Javascript, and React. I am thrilled to have found a career in which I can combine my passion for creating things from scratch, a love that started in the kitchen, with my enthusiasm for technology. With 2+ years of experience in the food industry, I’m currently seeking a front end software engineering position where I can leverage my background and skills in project management and web development.From a young age, I enjoyed creating and editing webpages with HTML and CSS before I really understood what these languages were. This excitement and enthusiasm stuck with me throughout the years and pushed me to attend the Immersive Software Engineering program at Flatiron School in San Francisco. There I built full stack web apps using Ruby on Rails, SQL, Javascript, React, and Redux. I also learned best practices for pair programming and how to effectively communicate with designers and other engineers.I enjoyed being able to connect people through food and I\'m now very excited to be able to connect people through technology.
