Karan is an accomplished Developer Relations leader at GitHub, on a mission to empower developers worldwide to unlock the full potential of AI and open source through the GitHub platform.With a focus on building impactful programs, Karan supports developers in their learning journeys, helps open source projects thrive, and enables engineers to streamline their workflows with GitHub\'s powerful tools. & Karan has been a part of 10 keynote sessions delivered by global technology leaders:• 7 keynotes with in, and, engaging thousands of developers.• 2 keynotes with former, including hosting him at GitHub Constellation in India, a flagship event for thousands of developers.• Part of the keynote at GitHub Universe 2024, one of the most prestigious developer conferences globally.Karan’s contributions have helped elevate developer conversations on innovation, AI, and open source to global audiences. As one of GitHub’s early hires in India, Karan played a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s developer ecosystem. He works with developers, open source maintainers, startups, enterprises, students, academicians, governments, nonprofits, and investors, creating bridges and fostering innovation at all levels. Karan’s career includes setting up developer relations functions for leading platforms like DigitalOcean, Automation Anywhere, and Exotel, where his work consistently drove impactful engagement and growth for developer communities. & Karan’s dedication to community building began early, volunteering with the Hyderabad Section, where he contributed to the creation of permanent exhibits for the BM Birla Science Center in Hyderabad. During this time, he had the honor of meeting and receiving guidance from, a role model who continues to inspire his work and values. When not working, Karan enjoys exploring creative side projects, reading across genres, and honing his stage-anchoring skills, bringing passion and innovation to everything he does.

I work across enterprises, startups, nonprofits, academia, and open source to help teams and individuals build, scale, and innovate with GitHub and AI at the core of their workflows.My work spans the spectrum—from partnering with C-level leaders on engineering productivity and strategy to empowering individual developers to thrive in an AI-powered world. I focus on advancing modern development practices, enabling collaboration, and helping teams move faster with confidence.As both a strategist and storyteller, I represent GitHub in executive keynotes and developer forums, turning product vision into real-world momentum across India’s tech landscape.
