In collaboration with the Hub and False Creek Friends; I developed a comprehensive sustainability and climate-oriented curriculum; planned, organized, and facilitated various workshops, informative sessions, and projects allowing students to engage in the aforementioned topics, and actualize the objectives of the community partner- Collaborated with representatives from False Creek Friends to align the work of the students, and that of the organization with traditional First Nations principles of land stewardship - Researched, designed, developed, and organized knowledge and skill-based workshops, including presentations, discussions, guest speakers, and activities to facilitate the aforementioned sessions for the cohort-Developed and distributed Sustainability Ambassadors project materials and files, as well as other program support by developing project templates, toolkits, and assessment assets, such as surveys and reports at appropriate times throughout the program -Developed an action plan for the cohort project planning, including regular check-ins with cohort members to ensure the team projects were progressing on schedule, that there was equitable contribution across members, and identified any additional support that the members needed -Supported the development and ongoing modification of professional development assets and learning modules for the Sustainability Ambassadors Program (e.g. workshop materials)-Provided peer-to-peer mentorship to the Sustainability Ambassadors to facilitate the development of sustainability competencies -Supported Sustainability Ambassadors throughout the year through regular check-ins, 1-1 meetings, and co-evaluations, particularly for students enrolled in Directed Studies as part of their involvement in the program

A Pan-Africanist from Nairobi, Kenya who currently works and resides on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Is passionate about the intersections of climate, culture, the creative arts, and socio-economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa, and across the continent’s diaspora communities. Has over 3 years of experience in youth advocacy and engagement across local and international organizations, holding various positions including: Environmental Justice Lead at the UBC Sustainability Hub, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the African Artistic Movement, Co-Director of Advocacy at Youtheoria International, and more.
