I am a Barrister-at-Law with international experience and practice in various jurisdictions such as England and Wales, India, Caribbean and Seychelles. I am a litigation specialist with focus on strategy and strategic advice on international litigation in broad categories of law including civil, criminal, public and administrative law including arbitration. I continue to advise businesses, companies and individuals on a range of cross border regulatory issues. My specialist area is in the field of white collar defence involving allegations of bribery, corruption and large scale money laundering. As a result, I have substantive experience and knowledge in the related fields of asset forfeiture, proceeds of crime, confiscation of assets,cross-border and multi jurisdiction cases involving mutual legal assistance between States based on international conventions and instruments in relation to recovery of assets, combating money laundering, fraud, corruption and bribery. I have detailed knowledge of regulatory authorities in England and Wales having undertaken substantive work for Prosecuting authorities such as the Financial Conduct Authority (civil prosecution of UBS), Serious Fraud Office (on numerous cases in the role of a disclosure counsel and independent counsel on reviewing Legally Privileged Material seized as part of materials obtained through search warrants) and Crown Prosecution Service.
