About Muskan Choradia

The path to learning seems to be growing longer with every passing day; the more I see the world, the more I wish to know about it; and I am all for it.I am a Counselling Psychologist (Master\'s in Lifespan Counselling), rooted in Humanistic and Narrative therapy approach. I believe that each individual has a story to tell, one that they have constructed partly themselves and partly via societal conditioning. Helping clients navigate their own self and hopes in the midst of socially-constructed narratives is one of the ways in which I approach my work. I use a trauma-informed and queer affirmative lens, recognising the role of both in a person\'s life, while using mindful language to ensure that the therapy space builds as a comforting and secure place for the client. I also tend to use Parts-language so as to hold space for different parts and polarities of a person to exist and be allowed to exist at the same time. I aspire to get trained in Narrative and Transactional Analysis, as well as Internal Family Systems, as I align with these therapeutic approaches.I am eager to use the knowledge I am gaining and have gained over the years, to put them to practice and see the result of my endeavours bring positivity in others\' lives!Along with the Master\'s degree, I\'ve obtained a Diploma in Ancient Indian Culture and History, offered by the Xavier\'s College in Mumbai. Knowing about the history and culture of my country\'s past is a marvellous feeling and noticing that many people around me are ignorant of the rich historical culture, I aim at spreading the knowledge.When I am not boggling over the complexities of human mind, I am reading classic novels, watching movies, painting and making art, practising my violin, or gazing at the night sky as an amateur astronomer!Reach out to me through my email ID : m••••••••@gmail.com
