I act as the lead educator within the MRI service, ensuring consistency and high standards across all training and educational activities.I undertake a wide range of MRI procedures, including Neuro, Vascular, GI, Gynae, Obstetrics and Musculoskeletal imaging independently and unsupervised.As an autonomous practitioner, I use my specialist knowledge to deliver high-quality, individualised MRI care. I provide expert advice across the Trust to support multidisciplinary teams in improving clinical standards and patient outcomes.I vet MRI requests to assign the correct scan protocols that aligns with the clinical indications and departmental protocols.I take the lead in supporting Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners (APs), and Imaging Assistants in their personal development and achievement of clinical competencies, through structured guidance, mentorship, and feedback.I ensure all my scans are of high diagnostic quality and flag any unexpected findings to the Radiologist, ensuring appropriate patient management.I actively support staff in pursuing additional training opportunities identified through their appraisal and development plans, ensuring equitable access and service support for continuous learning.I actively promote a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages continuous professional development, optimising each practitioner’s clinical skills and embedding evidence-based best practice into patient care.I am responsible for coordinating and delivering the in-house education programme. This includes planning, teaching, and aligning educational content with both local priorities and national recommendations to ensure compliance and quality assurance.I work 37.5 hours
