Well-versed in Academic Administration with long experience in new program development and accreditation. As the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, developed the Bachelor’s Program at the Manipal International University, Malaysia, right from the first batch of students and took the lead in getting the program accredited for 6 years. Earlier, was the chairman of the new Bachelor’s programme in Chemical and Bioprocess engineering at UiTM. Reviewed the curricula of B.Tech and M.Tech. in Biotechnology at Karunya University, Coimbatore. Developed a new degree programme on Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering at UiTM, Malaysia, as a chairman of the committee and spearheaded research programmes in Industrial Biotechnology at UiTM and JNTU, Hyderabad. Mentored and counselled younger engineers, researchers and students. Selected and supervised researchers in the Bioprocess Development for the Production of Value-added Products from cheap raw materials and waste streams, Bioreactor Development & Characterization and Membrane Separation. Principal Investigator and Evaluator of Sponsored Research Projects in Industrial Biotechnology. In DuPont, provided technical support and contributed to the stabilization of anoxic reactors and reduction of cost. Skilled in analyzing processes, devising process changes, conducting process hazards reviews, troubleshooting and cost analysis.
