Building of DCC testing LAB for testing of existing and new firmware release of internet modems CPE through remote automation for the client Rogers. This is a first of its kind for the client where in detail testing of various parameters of the firmware is done through automation thus saving around 80% of testing time vis compared to the manual testing and ruling out errors. • Setup of DTR’s and CTR’s for modem setup. • Installation of chambers in CTR’s for setting up of wireless testing of modems. • Working with devices like Rasberry Pi, Candela tech, mini-PC’s, Wireless adaptors. • Connecting the modems with Docsis Lab CMTS and Prod CMTS feed for different community testing. • TR69, SMTP. Automation done with Python scripting by remotely accessing the devices through CLI which is accessed by servers installed with Linux. • Setting up of servers with Linux OS and connecting it to client satellite servers for installation of latest patches and upgrading to latest OS version • Installing of RHEL servers in VFMIN lab for security as well as accessing the DCC lab devices. • These servers are installed with automation framework for easy pickup and drop of test cases and executing them and obtaining results of PASS/FAIL. • Working knowledge of Wifi-6, Thunderbolt, mac mini-PCs for client connectivity as well as network capacity testing. Eaton and Wattbox WPS used for remote turning ON/OFF of individual connected device through GUI, CLI and automation. • APIs created for automation and running test of individual DUT’s. • GPON connected device for 8-10G of throughput testing. • Chambers are installed with android, iphone, ipad devices for mobile interop testing.
