I’m Murphy, named after the movie Robocop — My favorite titles are husband, dad, and being someone who cares deeply about family, and takes a lot of pride in building a meaningful life both at home and in my career. I’m passionate about self development and always finding new ways to grow. I try to bring that same sense of purpose and gratitude into the work I do every day. Being able to work in the gaming industry is something I’ll never take for granted and I am lucky to be a part of. The childhood me would be pretty proud of all of the cool things I get to do for work, along with the best people.My world outside of work and family revolves around positive and motivational content, staying connected in gaming, and watching and training from time to time in combat sports.In my current role, I lead partnerships at OpTic Gaming, one of the most established gaming organizations globally. I work with brands and agencies on creator-led campaigns, fast turn activations, and culture first integrations designed to resonate with Gen Z/Millennial audiences.Previously, I helped lead the sales team for several years at Mythic Talent, one of the world’s leading gaming talent agencies. There, I worked closely with world class creators and world class brands to build campaigns where everyone won.Over the course of my career, I’ve closed millions in partnership revenue and built a sales portfolio alongside some of the best mentors and peers. I take pride in creating partnerships that deliver real value for brands while staying authentic to the communities they’re trying to reach.Gaming has been central to my life since my childhood. From early console days on Sega Genesis, to the modern creator economy, that lifelong connection fuels how I approach partnerships today — with respect for audience, clarity for brand, and execution that inspires the spectators and those involved.Today, I am proud to represent OpTic Gaming as Director of Partnerships. OpTic is the most storied organization in Call of Duty history and a global leader across esports and content. Competing as OpTic Texas, the team secured back to back Call of Duty Championship victories in 2024 and 2025, reinforcing its position at the top of the scene.
