Coordinator, Enable ScotlandAs a Coordinator at Enable Scotland, I am passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for children with learning disabilities in Inverness. My role focuses on independent travel and young people’s rights, delivering Motability-funded initiatives that empower young individuals to gain confidence, independence, and life skills.🤝 Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate inclusive and engaging sessions for children with learning disabilities, fostering a supportive and empowering environment. • Collaborate with schools and community youth groups to ensure smooth planning and accessibility to our programs. • Grow membership and participation, working closely with families, schools, and local organizations to encourage more young people to get involved. • Tailor sessions to individual needs, with a strong focus on sports-related activities, connecting children with inclusive local clubs. Impact & Engagement: • Design and implement initiatives that enhance life skills and independence for children with learning disabilities. • Leverage Motability funding to deliver high-quality, impactful sessions that provide education and community connections. • Build lasting partnerships with community youth groups, ensuring sustainable engagement and ongoing opportunities for young people. • Utilize my sign language skills to create inclusive and accessible communication.
