Significant contributions to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change core WG I and WG II authors team during 19••••07 Assessment Reports and also to special Reports / Synthesis Report; also contributed to UNEP’s GEO Reports and International Ozone Assessment Reports. Experience of working at International Organizations such as Canadian Atmospheric Environment Service, UK Hadley Climate Centre, US National Center for Atmospheric Research, Max Planck Institute of Meteorology in Germany, CSIRO in Australia, University of Tokyo, Japan and University of the South Pacific on research in climate change science and disaster risk assessments. Over three decades of progressive professional experience and entrepreneurship in teaching (including capacity building in climate change adaptation options and measures) and research in the issues of environment and climate change risks and vulnerability, adaptation and mitigation on regional / national scale in general (through enhancement of our capability to understand, anticipate and manage the ecological and societal impacts of climate change and its variability) and in reducing the socio-economic impacts of climate variability. Expertise in integration of research on sector – specific regional vulnerability and resilience in the context of sustainable development. Successful management of WB/ADB/UNDP funded multiple projects in the risk assessment due to weather extremes induced by climate change from defining requirements through execution and closure.
