ABOUT MUNYARADZI PETRICIA DZIMUNWE
I am a project management and development practitioner with more than 12 years of experience working at the intersection of education, project delivery, and community development. I specialize in bridging project management with education and development, applying structured planning, risk analysis, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring & evaluation to strengthen systems and deliver measurable impact. My work in Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Education includes overseeing academic operations for learners, coordinating 13,824 lessons, supervising 60+ educators, and contributing to the successful graduation of 12,700 students over 12 years. I designed school-based syllabi, introduced project-based learning approaches, and strengthened parent–school engagement for households through structured consultations and performance reviews. Across youth development and entrepreneurship programs, I have trained 200+ students, mentored groups that launched 10 student-led startups, and supported partnerships that mobilized in venture funding. In women’s economic empowerment, my work through COMFWB and FESACCO helped train women, establish 20 cooperatives across 10 provinces, secure in project funding, and facilitate land-access and income opportunities for 130 rural women. My project management skills include planning & scheduling, scope and quality management, risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, resource coordination, cost estimation, and continuous improvement. I am comfortable managing cross-functional teams, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and leading projects from planning through delivery and evaluation.I hold a Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship earned from Catholic University in Zimbabwe in partnership with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy), which strengthened my international and cross-cultural perspective. I am currently pursuing an MSc in Project Management at The George Washington University, deepening my skills in agile delivery, decision analytics, conflict management, and portfolio optimization. I currently serve as President of the GWU Project Management Students Association (2026 Term) and as Governance Editor & Liaison Officer for GWU OPUS Africa, where I help lead student engagement, strategic initiatives, and regional collaboration.I am passionate about using the bridge between project management, education, and development to deliver projects that expand opportunities, strengthen institutions, and support sustainable impact across Africa and the global diaspora.
