About Mukund Iyengar

I am fortunate to work on two domains I deeply care about: oncology super-intelligence (Jori) and educational reform (iSTEM/Launchpad). My primary focus is increasingly oncology. I’m building advanced computing systems that bring clarity to cancer care. I am big fan of open-source. Off late, I spend a lot of my time listening to oncologists, nurses, patients, and operators inside cancer centers.Alongside this, I’m an Associate Professor of Computer Engg & Director of Entrepreneurship Education at Stevens Institute of Technology, where I founded and built iSTEM and Launchpad from scratch. These programs help ambitious & brilliant students solve important problems, often making heavy use of STEM/computing. My students have launched 25+ companies, many backed by world-class investors including Y Combinator and Sequoia.Across both worlds, I’m drawn to people with high energy, high agency, and high integrity.    Launchpad is a powerhouse incubator @ Stevens that nurtures early stage tech companies with students in a lead role. It has created 25 new companies collectively worth over $100M, with some backed by Y-Combinator, Sequoia, and Kleiner-Perkins. As the founding director of this program, I got to build this ecosystem from scratch.
