About Mukta Sharma
I am a computational biologist working primarily in the area of in-silico drug designing. I have worked as a Research Associate with Prof. Samir K Brahmachari at CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi, India, and I worked on systems level analysis followed by genome-scale variation analysis of the clinical isolates and then structure wise chemical tailoring of molecules. Additionally, I have worked on Mycobacterium Tuberculosis where I utilized the available data of various targets in order to find out the probable reason for the drug resistance of the respective drugs against them. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago, I have worked with Prof. Benoit Roux and have used computational approaches to the first- generation protein kinase activity probes to elucidate their binding mechanism and their reactivity.
