Underwrite Purchase & Refinance Mortgage applications for residences as per Fannie Mae (DU) & Freddie Mac (LP) AUS’s and Government (FHA) as per respective guidelines.Review the entire loan application process, which includes analysis of borrower profile, documents and financial parameters as per respective guidelines.Evaluate loan application based upon 4 C’s – Credit, Capacity, Capital and Collateral. Calculate LTV (Loan to Value), CLTV (Combined loan-to-value), HCLTV (High Combined Loan to Value), HTI (Housing to income) and DTI (Debt to Income).Depth knowledge of Appraisal, Title, Credit report, Bank statements, Paystubs, Tax return and WVOE’s and Profit & Loss documents.Evaluate the risk involved in approving a loan and checking if it is acceptable as per lender / investor guide & Review loan and add conditions for any gap or missing documents.Check for additional documents per loan product like PMI (private mortgage insurance) or MI (mortgage insurance). Maintain TAT, Accuracy of file, and Service level Standards.Calculate income for wage earners, self-employed (schedule C, 1065, 1120S, 1120 tax returns,K-1, Rental income, SSA income and pension income etc.Assisting underwriters with queries and difficulties faced with the process.Working on escalation, finding on loan and coordinating with clients if required.
