The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) is a two-year academic program combining theoretical learning with practical district administration experience, enhancing local skill development delivery. MGN fellow coordinated with the district skill committee members, chaired by the District collector(DICC), Dholpur, responsible for SANKALP Project, Skill Development Initiatives, Entrepreneurship, Apprenticeship, Industry Surveys and Policy Gap analysis. Contributions by MGN fellow are mentioned bellow: 1. Facilitated Invest Summit 2022 conducted by District Industries and Commerce Centre. Submitted Industry Potential Survey and Export Potential survey to General Manager, DICC, Dholpur. Assisted DICC, office with various Rajasthan government schemes related to employment and industries. Played a pivotal role in submitting the ODOP (One District One Product) award to the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India. Spearheaded the establishment of a handmade joss stick self-help women’s producer group, from getting government grants, industry visits, and awareness generation about raw materials & locations for buying, and selling products in the market to buying a joss stick machine through the tender process. Oversee the implementation of the SANKALP Skill gap survey (with the funding support of 16,67lacs), from drafting the EoI (Expression of interest), and selection of the implementing agency to submitting the final report to the district skill committee. The survey will help in the future planning of skill development courses at the district level. Established relationship with RDSDE, Government of India and District Nodal ITI for apprenticeship activity. On-boarded 4 industry units on the apprenticeship portal, Mobilized students and around 34 students received apprenticeship offers. Organized a workshop for Nodal ITI as well as Industries to train them with a step-by-step process of getting subsidy under the apprenticeship Scheme.
