Modeling and simulation of structural and non-structural component behavior due to impact.• Perform the nonlinear dynamic numerical analysis of the collapse of structures. • Prepare a variety of reports and simulations predicting the collapse mechanism of the buildings and the consequent air overpressure/noise and vibrations arising from the demolition and the collapse of structures. • Estimate the ground vibration as a result of the dynamic impact of the collapse. Determine standoff distances, safety perimeters, and potential damage.• Evaluate material properties, in terms of energy dissipation during fracture, to check the performance sensitivity to allow for material uncertainty.• Design and analyze structures subjected to blast loads using 3-D nonlinear dynamic analysis. • Perform push over analysis of a building for the different load combinations and compare the capacity of the structure with the requested seismic demand.• Perform static stability against the lateral high wind loads using CFD software and provide an assessment on a structure that is being weakened for demolition.• Perform high fidelity structural models, able of simulating the structural behavior of complex steel structures.• Investigate non-linear numerical structural components behavior due to fire using CFD modeling combined with finite element analysis.• Contribute as a research and development engineer by developing numerical validation for experimental results.• Design and analyze mechanical components and structures for HBOT chambers, collaborate with other engineers to develop design concepts, and create detailed engineering drawings, conduct structural and thermal analyses to ensure the safety and reliability of HBOT chambers.
