Muhammad Risal is a B.Tech graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam. Throughout his college years, he consistently showcased strong leadership qualities, technical skills, and a passion for community service.He actively participated in various student organizations and held several leadership roles, including Chairperson of the Student Branch at TKMCE and Technical Head and Student Representative of the IA/IE/PELS Joint Chapter under the Kerala Section. Under his guidance, the student branch grew significantly, with membership rising from 200 to over 500. The branch was also recognized with the prestigious Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award during his tenure.Muhammad contributed to impactful humanitarian initiatives, most notably the D2ReK project (Domestic and Drinking Reservoir with Renewable Energy), implemented by SIGHT Kerala Section. This project aimed to improve water accessibility in underserved communities by installing solar-powered water pumps and lamps, reflecting his commitment to sustainable development and technology for social good.His involvement in community service began early. He was an NSS volunteer during both his higher secondary education and his B.Tech years. In addition, he was an NCC cadet in high school, where he held the rank of sergeant and participated in a National Integration Camp, gaining early exposure to discipline and national service.He has also represented his college at national and international events, including the IES Congress and the ComSoc School Series. These experiences highlight his dedication to professional growth, global exposure, and continued learning.For his final year project, Muhammad worked on an innovative solution titled \"Solar Powered Thermoelectric Cooking System.\" The project features a hybrid solar cooker that integrates both solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies to deliver a clean, efficient, and off-grid cooking option. It utilizes a parabolic trough collector to heat and store thermic fluid for thermal-based cooking, while a DC-powered induction system—driven by solar panels and batteries—ensures continuous operation even during periods of low sunlight. This project reflects his strong technical foundation and his interest in renewable energy solutions that cater to real-world needs.
