About Muhammad Musa Raza
I am a MS in Finance Student at the California State University of Long Beach. Graduating in August of 2022, my goal is to become a Chartered Financial Analyst. I am making swift progress on my CFA goals as I plan to gain CFA Level 1 by November of 2022.In terms of long-term goals, I look forward to working within the financial services industry. My passion for mathematics and technological integration/efficiency is what influenced my decision to pursue finance. My undergraduate years consisted of mathematics and quantitative training in finance which involved work in Excel to created Free Cash Flow models in conjunction with other valuations methods such as Comparable Company Analysis.Alongside financial modeling, I have widened my horizons by implementing Python programming for both data analytics and day-to-day work. Comfortability with Python packages/libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib have fostered integration and efficiency for work. I use Python, Excel and SQL, for coursework and personal projects, to gather, analyze and present necessary data.Aside from courses and degrees, I have experience as an Instructional Student Assistant at CSULB. Besides daily evaluating and organizing responsibilities, I am tasked with researching and improving proposal work to create equal opportunity for international students looking to join the MS Finance program. Prior to my current work, I worked as an Inventory Assistant at a family owned, local corner store. At the store, I primarily managed the flow of inventory to build monthly reports on in-demand products alongside advising the store owners to adopt basic inventory/finance management software.As I am currently seeking opportunities in finance, specifically Investments, I would love to talk further about my experiences, work, and anything related or relevant.
