Receiving and processing tender invitations as assigned- Creating subtrade/supplier bid lists for Request for Quote issuance- Conducting pre-tender site visits when required, taking site photographs, and documenting site conditions; meeting and discussing findings with the supervisor- Liaising with subcontractors during the tendering period- Obtaining bid bonds, agreements to bond, and quotes for additional insurance above established RCS coverage when required- Completing tender takeoffs by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation, considering and incorporating pricing for less common components, including LEED® or commissioning if applicable- Preparing tender forms and/or written proposals and proofing all written tender correspondence- Receiving and processing phone-in quotations- Closing tenders on bid closing day and directing participation of fellow estimating team members to facilitate efficient and accurate closings- Following up on results of tender submissions- Preparing handover of awarded proposals to the project management team- Confirming subcontract and supplier requirements for awarded projects and establishing a collaborative buyout approach with the assigned project manager- Preparing and/or reviewing Construction Specification and Drawing logs to be issued with each subcontract/purchase order to verify the accuracy of listed documents- Negotiating and awarding subcontracts/purchase orders as established with the project manager- Updating the Project Team list with relevant contact coordinates.
