Division of Multimodal Transportation & InnovationManaging and Providing Engineering Oversight for the Access, Innovation, and Collaboration (AIC) Program\"The Kansas Access, Innovation, and Collaboration (AIC) Program is a state initiative aimed at enhancing public transportation across Kansas, especially in rural areas. It funds various projects, including upgrades to transit facilities and the implementation of micro-transit pilots. In 2022, the program awarded over $13 million to improve transportation accessibility, including new bus facilities and technology upgrades.\"Key Responsibilities:Overseeing program operations, including application and funding processes for transit providers, local governments, tribal nations, and non-profits.Managing the eligibility and funding requirements for bus-related projects, including vehicle procurement, facility improvements, and innovative transit programs.Coordinating on funding allocations, ensuring compliance with local match requirements and regional planning efforts.Facilitating project concept submissions, review applications, and guide applicants through the funding and procurement process.Collaborating with KDOT staff and consultants to support project planning, cost estimation, and post-award procurement procedures.Conducting 1-on-1 meetings with applicants to provide project guidance and clarify funding opportunities.Providing Engineering support for other Division\'s programs/projects such as the Safe Route to School (SRTS) program, Transportation Alternatives (TA) program, and statewide Electric Vehicle (EV)charging infrastructure projectsMonitoring/Reviewing K-TRAN Research Projects
