Working as part of the Engineering and Design team. My responsibilities include:• Designing motor control centers, transformers, active harmonic filters, UPS systems, and power distribution panels.• Performing power system studies (internal to the plant), including power flow, arc flash, transient, and short-circuit analyses. Proficient in adjusting TCC curves and circuit breaker settings.• Designing electrical grounding and lightning protection systems.• Conducting lighting illumination analysis using DIALux evo.• Determining appropriate sizes for cables, cable trays, circuit breakers, smart overload relays, and other overcurrent protection devices in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code.• Visiting project sites to assess electrical infrastructure, ensure code compliance, identify safety hazards, and coordinate with stakeholders.• Preparing design documentation, including concept reports, design requirements, site inspection reports, and technical specifications.• Participating in projects from inception to completion, such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordinating, and executing engineering and design tasks in collaboration with clients, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal team members.
