ABOUT MUHAMMAD RAVAT
Hi, I am Muhammad Ravat, a passionate and avid coder who is pursuing a BENg (Hons) Degree in Software Engineering. I am in my penultimate year of university and have secured alot of experience in working with others, through group projects and working.I have constantly had to go through adversity in my life, from being a minority to being the first in my family to go to university. This achievement is heightened by the fact the coronavirus pandemic had a massive effect on myself and many other students, but I was able to bounce back. At university I have worked in 2 group projects which have developed my teamworking and time management skills.I am proficient in Java and HTML/CSS/JS related frameworks with brief experiences in python and php. I also have experience in querying MySQL databases which I recently implemented into a Learning Management System in Java. I have also familiarized myself with frameworks in web development, the main ones being React on frontend and Node.js/Express on the backend. I hope to finish \'The Odin Project\', which is a bootcamp for web development. Beyond my academic pursuits I volunteered as a Shop Assistant at Oxfam for 4 months, where I then accepted a contract to work at Waitrose for 80 days. This allowed me to challenge myself in different paced environments and ensured I have the social skills crucial in today\'s world. I have learnt to relate myself to other people from different backgrounds as well as being able to successfully meet deadlines under duress.
