ABOUT MUHAMMAD MUGHAL

Muhammad is a multidisciplinary (Systems) Programme Engineering Manager who has experience in Project / Programme Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Delivery, Safety Verification (ROGS & CSM REA), Interoperability and Engineering Assurance. He is a registered Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Fellow of the Permanent Way Institution. Currently, he provides Systems Engineering leadership and support to all Project Systems Engineers within the region. Muhammad has worked on and delivered various multidiscipline enhancement projects as a lead system’s engineer. He has led the development and implementation of the Systems (Integration) Engineering competency framework for IP/NR. He also leads AtW process for all Systems Engineers and conducts standards briefings to Systems Engineers and Project Delivery teams.He is also nominated deputy for Head of Engineering within a matrix organisation, which manages a team of 160+ professional engineers and construction managers. Muhammad has been working in the UK rail industry since 2001. His background in track engineering, track maintenance and experience in the enhancement project delivery has afforded him a comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of Network Rail’s systems, standards, procedures and their practical application. He has also led training and briefing sessions on the requirements of the European & UK safety directives & regulations; safety verification (ROGS), Interoperability and Common Safety Methods on Risk Evaluation & Assessment (CSM-REA).
