ABOUT MUHAMMAD HASHIR ZAHEER
As a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Leeds, funded by the EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership and in collaboration with Versuni, my research focuses on developing environmentally friendly inhibitors and surface treatment technologies to prevent mineral scaling in domestic appliances. With an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Tribology of Surfaces and Interfaces (Distinction) across leading European universities, I bring an international perspective and a strong foundation in materials characterization, experimental design, and computational methods. My previous work with Scania Group and AC2T (Austrian Competence Center for Tribology) sharpened my expertise in high-temperature tribology, coating evaluation, and designing novel experimental setups.I am passionate about advancing sustainable engineering solutions that enhance product lifetime, reduce waste, and contribute to greener technologies. Beyond my core research, I also enjoy engaging with the corrosion and tribology community, sharing ideas at conferences, and collaborating across academia and industry.
