About Muhammad D.

Growing up as the son of immigrants, I grew up learning early that navigating complex systems — government, institutions, opportunity — requires both knowledge and advocacy. That became my foundation and passion.I built my career at the intersection of civic work, policy, and technology. Starting as a youth organizer, I rose to lead strategy at one of NYC\'s most recognized youth-led organizations, advising on policy from the classroom to City Hall and presenting to officials across city and state government. That work earned me recognition as 1 of 6 NYC Community Heroes of New York City by Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.From there I expanded into political and grassroots campaigns, government policy research, and community development — including founding one of the first scholarships for low-income Pakistani-American college students in NYC. I\'ve also represented New York as a youth diplomat in South Korea and New Zealand, developing a global perspective on governance and civic life.Today I work at Google, where I help businesses scale and grow through digital strategy and AI — and have been part of building AI tools that are changing how teams work.My focus is on AI adoption, civic technology and driving both business and social impact.
