   Oversee substation projects and provide engineering services and technical support for the construction, testing and commissioning of substation equipment (power transformers, circuit breakers, CCVT\'s, Cap Banks, SVC\'s, associated relay protection and control equipment, and SCADA systems) up to and including 500kV Involve in engineering walk downs, identify existing issues and recommend equipment upgrade Work with project managers and Transmission system operations/Outage coordination department to request necessary outages for the equipment upgrade and project expansion Work with substation design to provide necessary information of the existing system and finalize new design Review drawings and correct design problems encountered during commissioning Work with substation design and scada engineering to highlight issues between scada prints and the issued point list Prepare pre-energization commissioning checks lists Review protection relays settings/configuration Review and approve Isolation plans Review and approve work test plans Work with protection and outage coordination departments to write energization plans (for placing new equipment in service) Review and approve relays and apparatus test results Functional test new transmission substation equipment Review switching orders Perform inservice metering, load angles, phase rotation/phase sequence/phasing checks Verify power flow and metering on EMS/scada and make sure one line on EMS and nomenclature reflects the actual at the substation Release equipment for service
