ABOUT MUHAMMAD AMEEN
I’m a Criminology student at Cardiff University with a growing passion for youth justice, legal advocacy, and community development. My experience blends academic insight with hands-on impact through public speaking, legal exposure, and community-focused projects.As a CAER Heritage Project Scholarship Awardee, I’ve contributed to archaeological research, community lex d heritage initiatives, and youth engagement work across Ely and Caerau. This opportunity strengthened my skills in collaboration, public communication, and inclusive community development, and it led to my role as Co-development of the Caer Youth Forum, where I support young people in shaping local heritage and civic projects.My interest in advocacy also comes from experiences such as serving as Defense Barrister in the Young Citizens Moot Court, attending legal insight days with BCLP and Brabners, and speaking on Channel 4 News about youth voting rights in Wales. These experiences helped me develop confidence, analytical thinking, and a strong commitment to representing underrepresented voices.I aim to build a career at the intersection of law, youth advocacy, and public policy, where I can support communities, improve access to justice, and elevate young people’s voices in decision-making spaces.Key Interests: Youth justice • Legal advocacy • Public policy • Community heritage • Civic engagement • Public speaking
