Accounts Payable SpecialistSystem Used: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Navision)Key Duties & Responsibilities:Set up new supplier accounts in the system, ensuring all required documentation is accurately collected and filed.Manage supplier queries, providing prompt resolutions related to payment statuses, delays, or discrepancies.Receive, review, and process supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate data entry into the accounting system.Match invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts, investigating and resolving any variances.Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts in accordance with company policy.Prepare and execute BACS payment runs, ensuring timely payments in line with agreed terms.Conduct regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.Process and review employee expense claims in accordance with internal policies.Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.Ensure compliance with UK & Ireland VAT regulations in the processing of supplier invoices.Perform manual BACS payments when required for urgent or off-cycle supplier settlements.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, occasionally negotiating payment terms to support cash flow management.
