I didn’t set out to become an analyst. I started in operations at BYJU’S in 2018, working closely with sales teams — and quickly realized that the difference between a good day and a bad one almost always came down to whether people were looking at the right numbers. That curiosity pulled me into analytics, and I’ve never looked back.Over the next few years, I took on Business Analyst and then Senior Business Analyst roles where I could own problems end-to-end. I led PAN-India sales training analytics and improved funnel pass rates from 13% to 24%. I redesigned scholarship logic that cut average discounts by 20% without hurting enrolments, and data-backed changes to team structure improved customer retention by about 10%. The pattern was consistent: find the leak, fix the right thing, measure it honestly.Since then, I’ve carried that same approach across EdTech, mobility (CAFU), and SaaS (Uprio) — each industry different, the core questions always the same. Today, as a Data Scientist at Cognizant, I work across the full stack: scoping problems with stakeholders, writing SQL and Python, building dashboards, and translating findings into decisions that move revenue and efficiency.Three questions drive everything I do: Where is value leaking?
