About Mudassar Khatib
Lead Principal, Director for Product Development Engineering for Smart Power Stages at Infineon Technologies. Responsible for definition of multiphase power management ICs to meet VR specifications from Intel and AMD, characterizing & validating new chip-sets and VR solutions, developing customer application boards, and generating design tools and application notes, along with providing technical training to FAEs, sales and customers. Previously worked as an Analog Application Engineer at Texas Instruments for about 4 years,Completed Masters in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. My area of interest is Power Electronics. Worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at CPES ( Center for Power Electronics Systems) at Virginia Tech. My research work included developing a Converter for Ocean Energy Harvesting using Magnetostrictive Materials. As a second research project, I also developed a system for Power Cycling of IGBTs to determine their reliability. This included designing the concept of the system, the hardware and controlling it via PC. I have completed my B. Tech in Electronics from VJTI Mumbai in 2008. I have also done internships in Siemens and NPCIL in Mumbai, India.

Lead the Applications Engineering team for Smart Power stages -Responsible for powerstage driver and MOSFET definition -Work with design team to implement driver and MOSFET definition into silicon. Oversee verification of silicon-Verify the PS meets expected performance and features and ensure high volume production-Evaluate customer applications and assist in design in activities-Act as mentor for the team members and managers in the Smart Power Stages team-Manage, organize and develop PS AE team by setting priorities and at times working as an individual technical contributor to complete projects on time. • Work with Infineon’s Server, Communication, Consumer, Automotive, and Industrial customers and respective marketing teams to define and develop Power Stages silicon products. Gain customer and application knowledge and understand device usage in end-application through regular customer interactions. • Team responsible to- go-to-market evaluation boards, datasheets, application notes and design tools for new products and support customer project design-in activities. second level support for complex technical inquiries from customers. Drive problem-solving by simulations, system evaluation and bench testing. advance technical training to regional FAEs on how to use Infineon components to enhance value of end-Customer’s products. competitor’s products and generate promotional material and collaterals (test reports, application notes, white papers) for product promotion with product marketing team to create and maintain forward-looking roadmap including defining features and functions that add customer value and provide state of the art performance.
