ABOUT MATTHEW NGUYEN
Hello! My name is Matthew Nguyen, and I am a junior at the University of Georgia pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in Finance and International Business and a minor in Vietnamese. As an ILA Leadership Fellow, I aspire to make the most of my campus experience through my active membership and involvement in Beta Alpha Psi and my role as a student ambassador for UGA\'s Office of Academic Honesty. I have a strong interest in peer education and mentorship, and this has guided me to strive to share my learning and experience with my community through my role as a Peer Learning Assistant through UGA\'s Office of Student Success and Achievement. Outside of the academic environment, my main hobbies include volunteering in the community and exploring the world through travel, which has led me to partake in a semester-long service-learning project in collaboration with Newton County Partners In Education and UGA\'s Archway Partnership to examine and improve the educational disparities of grade-school students in rural school districts. I have also embarked on a variety of study abroad programs through UGA to acquire international experience, gain multicultural competencies, and further my studies of global business, and these endeavors have motivated me to always maintain a positive mindset and work hard toward achieving my post-collegiate dream of developing an international career abroad.
